Itinerary

Day 01: Haridwar to Barkot (210 km, approx. 7-8 hrs)

Scenic Drive through the Himalayan Foothills – Enjoy the lush greenery, winding roads, and stunning views of the mountains as you begin your spiritual journey.

  • Jankichatti/Phoolchatti – The base for the trek to Yamunotri, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and a peaceful atmosphere.
  • Surya Kund – A natural hot water spring near the Yamunotri Temple, where devotees cook rice and potatoes as prasad.
  • Yamunotri Temple – One of the four sacred Char Dham temples, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, known for its vibrant spiritual energy.
  • Divya Shila – A revered rock pillar near the temple, worshipped before entering the main shrine.
  • Shiv Gufa (Shiva Cave) – A naturally formed cave with a Shiva Linga inside, believed to be a sacred meditation spot.
  • Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Uttarkashi – A centuries-old temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, similar to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi.
  • Gangnani Hot Springs – A thermal spring where devotees take a holy dip before proceeding to Gangotri.
  • Harsil Valley – A breathtaking valley with dense deodar forests, apple orchards, and picturesque Himalayan views.
  • Gangotri Temple – One of the holiest shrines dedicated to Goddess Ganga, marking the origin of the sacred Ganges River.
  • Bhagirathi River – The main tributary of the Ganges, originating from the Gaumukh Glacier.
  • Mandakini River at Tilwara – A mesmerizing river flowing from the glaciers of Kedarnath, offering stunning views along the route.
  • Ardh Narishwar Temple, Guptkashi – A unique temple representing Lord Shiva in his half-male, half-female form, symbolizing the union of Shiva and Parvati.
  • Sonprayag – A sacred confluence of the Basuki and Mandakini rivers, considered highly auspicious for pilgrims.
  • Gaurikund – A significant place where Goddess Parvati is believed to have performed penance to win Lord Shiva’s heart. It also has a natural hot water spring.
  • Kedarnath Temple – One of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, nestled between the snow-clad Himalayan peaks, offering an unmatched spiritual aura.
  • Shankaracharya Samadhi – The final resting place of Adi Shankaracharya, the great philosopher who revived Hinduism in the 8th century.
  • Scenic Himalayan Landscapes – As you descend from Kedarnath, take in the panoramic views of towering peaks, glacial streams, and serene meadows.
  • Tapt Kund – A natural hot water spring where devotees take a holy dip before entering Badrinath Temple.
  • Badrinath Temple – A revered temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, set against the backdrop of the mighty Neelkanth Peak.
  • Mana Village – India’s last village before the Tibet border, home to mythological sites and breathtaking natural beauty.
  • Vyas Gufa – A cave where Sage Vyas is believed to have written the Mahabharata.
  • Bhim Pul – A massive rock bridge over the Saraswati River, said to have been placed by Bhima for Draupadi to cross.
  • Mukh of Saraswati River – The visible origin of the Saraswati River, which merges with the Alaknanda nearby.
  • Vishnuprayag – The sacred confluence of the Alaknanda and Dhauliganga rivers.
  • Narsingh Temple (Joshimath) – The winter abode of Lord Badrinath, where the deity is worshipped during the winter months.
  • Karnprayag – The confluence of the Alaknanda and Pindar rivers, associated with Karna from the Mahabharata.
  • Nandprayag – The confluence of the Alaknanda and Nandakini rivers, another important site among the Panch Prayag (five sacred river confluences).
  • Rudraprayag – The meeting point of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers, known for its spiritual significance.
  • Rishikesh – Visit iconic landmarks like Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, and Triveni Ghat, where the Ganga Aarti is performed in the evening.

More Information

  • Please read emails carefully and understand the contents and prices. All the email conversations will be also part of your contract with us once you make the booking.
  • There are no deluxe facilities in Kedarnathji due to high altitude. There only serve you bed system.
  • As per the directive given by the Government of India, all Indian/Foreign Nationals are required to provide proper proof of identification upon check-in. Valid identifications documents are: Passport & Visa together, Voters Id card, Current Driver’s License, Aadhar Card. All the documents must include a photograph.
  • Hotel / camps or any kind of accommodation can deny stay if valid id proof is not provided. Company is not responsible for any ID proof related issues.
  • Generally, hotel check-in time is 14:00 hrs and checkout time is 11:00 hrs across India. Confirm early check-in or late checkout will be chargeable if not included in cost. Kindly contact hotel directly if you want complimentary early check-in or late check-out.
  • If meals are included in package, it will be served at set menu basis in a buffet menu / fixed / meal credit. Any items which are not in their in ideal Buffet / Fixed menu will be charged extra at the time of consumption. Hotels decide the menu and options of items for menu. Some hotels having Meal credit policy instead of Buffet or Fixed Menu during low occupancy in hotel – This meal credit amount is decided by hotel management – if bills go above the given meal credit amount, then extra amount should be paid directly at respective hotel. Room service for the food or packing is charged extra at many hotels. Normally in Chardham you will get north Indian type food only and most of the standard and deluxe hotels give thali if meals are included in package.
  • Breakfast Timing: 07:00 Am to 09:00 AM And Dinner: 07:00 PM to 10:00 PM (About the timing you can contact hotel management before.)
  • Normally for extra bed on double sharing rooms many hotels have rollaway bed while rest of the hotels provide extra mattress only. If you are not comfortable with mattress system instead of bed let us know in advance.
  • In hill areas or Chardham many hotels don’t have ac so if you insist ac only kindly confirm with the company regarding the same. Lift facility & power back up is not available in most of the hotels in Chardham. Wifi facility and room heater is mostly chargeable but don’t expect good wifi in Chardham hotels due to network issues most of the time.
  • Most of the hotels in Chardham are not running full year so don’t expect similar service and room quality like you get in Haridwar-Rishikesh in the same price range. Especially in may June and other busy days the budget/standard hotels in Chardham can cost more than deluxe hotel in Haridwar-Rishikesh or Delhi. Also, if you want to stay good hotels with good reviews you need to book at least 3 months before in may June and 1-2 months before in Oct Nov season as good hotels are mostly booked in advance by groups. In Kedarnath there is only basic dharamshala / budget hotel type basic facility only even if your package is luxury in Kedarnath don’t expect even deluxe rooms.
